Interview with Brent Hardgrave and Cheyenne Strametz

When it comes to Consultation, every salon professional is going to have their own style; However, there are some things that should be consistent no matter where you go. Every client should be welcomed as they arrive, their information should be collected, and her needs should be assessed.

When it boils down to it, a successful Consultation is so much more than that. In a way, a Consultation is like a first date. How? It’s the beginning of a relationship that should be built on trust and transparency. Once you get to know your client on a personal level and earn their trust, then you are able to share your expertise and recommendations.

As a Hair Loss Specialist, you are the artist. The designer. The expert. Not only is your job to give the client what they want, but also SHOW the client what they want. Be bold enough to make color and style recommendations for their hair but also for their overall look. This is a delicate line to walk, as you always want to speak gently and nurture the client’s inner beauty with your comments and suggestions.

We have had some questions from our HLU students about Consultation, so what did we do? We turned to the experts!

Our coaches at Hair Loss University come from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets. They each have unique experiences in the hair loss industry that have shaped them into the experts they are today. Their story is impacted by where they got started and do business.
